![]() When I heard about the cancer word I didn't think much about it, well, not
really, my mother works with terminally ill children and disabled children
so I'm quite used to dealing with ill children and teenagers.
It's true what they say, nothing can prepare you when you find out a member
of your very much loved family has a tumour in their bone marrow, well that
kinda blew me up for six.
My aunty was diagnosed with multiple myloma a few months back and I've seen
how strong and determined she needs to be and we do too in order to support
her in every way possible. She is my dad's sister and we are very close so
needless to say I was quite upset when I heard the news. I get a really sick
feeling in the pit of my stomach when I even think of how she would look on
a bad day but I swallow my fears and stay strong for my dad so he can be
strong for his sister.
All in all what I'm trying to say is although Cancer is a terrible disease
and we do lose family and friends through it I and my family hope to see a
cure for it for tomorrow's people and in the mean time we shall learn to
smile and go on with what we do have.
